Subject: Weekend Update - September 4/5

ALTERED SCHEDULE FOR THE WEEK
Because of the show on Sunday, I need to do major revisions on this week’s schedule BUT the schedule is the same as it is on the calendar that was sent out last week. So, there are NO changes from the calendar.

SATURDAY
10:00 THE STUMPZ
12:00 SAVE THE CASTLE
02:00 THE SPIDER MAFIA
All three of the above bands are performing at the Monterey Show on Sunday, along with GET READY

SUNDAY
10:00 V TECH 1
11:30 V TECH 2
(if you are performing in the Monterey Show you should NOT come to your V Tech rehearsal. Rather you should rest up and be read for the show later today)

MONTEREY SHOW
The Itinerary is being sent out today and handed out on Saturday, if needed. Since we are all riding on the bus, it is very simple. I would like to be on the the bus at 3 when it arrives. Since this is a Holiday weekend, we may encounter some traffic going down there. Monterey is a popular destination for this weekend. This could mean large crowds for the Fair for our shows. So be prepared.

Bring warm clothes to wear under your show clothes. GET READY is the only show that has a specific uniform. If you can find warmer undergarments (t shirts for example) you should bring them. This is one reason why I am putting GET READY on first. The evening might get colder, but the other bands can wear warmer clothes, if needed.

If you are bringing friends or family, I will need to know their names.

Also....you will note on the Itinerary that I am asking for a donation to ride on the bus. After SoCal we still have bills to pay and technically we can’t afford this bus, but taking a bus is the only way that we will travel to Monterey. So, I am not asking for a specific amount because some of you have less to contribute than others and I don’t want money being an issue. So, contribute what you can. Now, this includes non performers who are getting a free ride and should be getting in to the Fair for free. Tell your guests to., please, help us out.

South San Jose Homeowner’s Festival
4:00 to 5:00
I would like to use THE SPIDER MAFIA. If I find that they are not available I would use THE STUMPZ or NOT 4 SALE ( who performed last year at this event)

FRIDAY to SUNDAY
SEPTEMBER 24, 25, and 26
ST JOHN THE BATPIST AUTUMN FESTIVAL
The big show will be on Friday night from 6 to 10 but a couple of bands might not be available due to High School conflicts. We are getting additional playing time, so I will try to plug in those bands in those times as soon as the Chairperson returns my call. Variety Show Singers are involved in this show, too as is GET READY (Friday night)

SATURDAY and SUNDAY
OCTOBER 2 and 3
ST VICTOR’S FESTIVAL

This will be our ‘official’ last show of our 2010 Summer Season. We have four spots open over the two days. I will be using Variety Show Singers and HOUSE BAND, for sure and I would love to use GET READY, also.

FUNDRAISING MEETING
I am looking at having a ‘fundraising’ meeting next weekend,  probably Sunday at 4, so we can discuss raising the funds that are still needed to pay for our SoCal trip and other reimbursements, plus, a head start on next year’s trip.......ALSO......

I WANT TO TAKE ‘GET READY’ TO HAWAII IN 2012 FOR SHOWS!!!!
